March 28, 2020 (New pages added! April 14, 2020)
A couple of weeks ago, when we began sheltering in place here in Berkeley, my kiddo asked me why she couldn’t see her friends or go to school.
“Can I just have one friend come over to my house?” she asked. “Just one?”
My heart cleaved in two.
I’ve always found that when something difficult happens, in parenting or in life, reaching out helps to soothe the ache. Maybe the kids would like some coloring pages, I thought. And since I was creating it for them, why not let them decide what drawings they wanted to color? I imagined that the topics would be pretty straightforward. A dinosaur, a fairy princess, a birthday cake.
I could not have been more wrong.
This impromptu gesture turned out to be so much more than expected and hearing about the delightful conversations that came out of it just felt like exactly what we needed. So I decided to make the coloring packs available to everyone. Print them out for yourselves or share them with the kids in your life! If you’ve got a finished piece, tag me on insta: @laurasu_art, I will flip. OUT.
Click the links at the bottom of this page to download each coloring pack.
If you’d like to support this fledgling endeavor of mine, consider donating by clicking the button below. All funds will go towards new projects (exciting!) and the regular costs of running an art-based business- not quite as exciting but no less essential.
(Prismera is my jewelry business. I’m not far enough along to add my art + illo info, sorry about any potential confusion!)
Thank you for being a patron of the arts. It’s truly appreciated.
** Please note: These are for personal use only, not for commercial use.
